Remarks: In 1994, for Open Studio, I created an series of twenty-three small scale works, titled, "Girl Talk." This series consisted of portraits of my women friends and associates painted from life with the audio taped portion of the portrait making session available on headsets for viewers to listen to as they walked through the exhibition of these paintings. This series of portraits was exhibited in several venues including the Bayview Opera House (in 1996), where I have served as a community artist since 1992.
