The Children's Mural Program provides instruction in visual art techniques (mostly painting) as the basis of an environmental science curriculum exploring various issues of concern to the community, especially the history, Superfund clean-up, and reuse of Hunters Point Shipyard. The program is presented in five community elementary schools and over the past eight years has served approximately 2400 community children.
